About Me
Hi, I’m Emma Warner - a Science Communicator, Writer & Strategic Content Creator working at the intersection of animal welfare, alternative proteins, and consumer storytelling.
My mission is to make complex, emotionally charged topics easier to understand and harder to ignore. I help people connect with the science, ethics, and practicalities behind the food we eat and the systems that shape it.
I don’t claim to have all the answers. I’m still learning, asking questions, and refining my voice. What I do bring is clarity, care, and a deep commitment to helping others make informed, values-led choices.
I work in the space between: between sectors, disciplines, and perspectives - translating insights into content that’s thoughtful, accessible, and rooted in empathy.
This work is my passion and calling. It’s part of my own journey to contribute to a better food future, and to help others feel a little more empowered along the way.
Video Content
My focus is on creating a broad range of video content that explores alternative proteins and ingredients, and finding novel and familiar ways of testing them for a consumer-based audience.
By adapting popular formats and combining them with science, humour and authenticity, my aim is to engage the masses and steadily bring them on board to trying alternative ingredients, and integrating them into their daily lives.
My preferred platforms are YouTube and TikTok.
Reduce, Raise, Replace Framework
I have adapted the concept of ‘the 3Rs’ used in animal research and developed a framework to assist consumer decision making: ‘Reduce, Raise, Replace’.
This framework underpins the decisions I make on a daily basis, and has allowed me to consistently reduce my animal product consumption more than 80% for the past 8 years. It is my aim to replicate this to help other conscious consumers achieve a similar reduction in animal product consumption - regardless of their reason for doing so.
I will be communicating tailored tips, recipes and updates centered around the 3Rs Framework via a newsletter. The newsletter will be featured on my website, but subscribers can join through my Substack platform to receive email updates.
